Because of this we do not see the full buttocks, although there is daylight in rugage. Actions The model sits on the floor facing away from us and full frame (1). Commentary This first tanga appearance in Vogue, suggests that a respectable woman might just wear this bare-butt creation. It has been four years since Vogue last showed a topless g-string in 1981 (V8106). A single-strapped T-back top is placed adjacent to this photograph in the magazine; here the single back strap rides up rugage, and there the T-back comes up the back and around the head. It remains for a future designer to unify the two silhouettes. Vogue's next attempt at tanga will be more conservative (V8605).
