Commentary This rather teasy swimsuit revelation is right at the edge of more mainstream media circa 1920. What is most important is that our star is not wearing any hat or any shoes and is completely barefoot. That challenges the public. Unlike some of the European cabaret stars who pose in flesh colored bodystockings, Love and her peers emerge in an era when showgirls dance and model topless and nude. Bessie Love fans know from the glamour magazines that she is no exception.
