Ms. Egypt Breastplates

probably Paris
c. 1905 TM0514

Costume
Rigid breastplates (actually a bra with transparent straps) and skirt; drape, headband, necklaces, waistband, armlets.

   TM. N-3. Armpits. Barefeet.

Actions
This full-bodied dancer poses with her hand behind her head (1), her hands behind her head (2), and full up stretching and pulling her drape (3).

Commentary
Notable here is the invisibility of the breastplate supports--making them appear as if very large pasties, and the obscuring of the navel by the waistband. It appears the skirt is actually quite low on the back, but a view of that is not offered in these pictures.
