Bathing Dress Beauties I Haven't Much On Today

Ottawa Beach, Michigan
le. 1909 PC0920

Costume
Violet with blue and white trim bathing dress shortsleeved bloomered, black hose, shoes, hat. Green white and red trim bathing dress shortsleeved bloomerless, red hose, shoes, hat. Pink with blue and white trim bathing dress shortsleeved bloomerless, blue hose, shoes, hat. Young man in blue pantaloon unitard.

   Bare face and arms.

Actions
Two young ladies play leapfrog while another runs behind and a young lad runs to the side (1). Sailboats and a steamer are seen in the water beyond.

Commentary
These costumes are pure period, including the male's costume. Possibly the scene depicts the great lake beyond, and not an ocean view. Serious bikini scientists will observe the coexistence of the bloomered and bloomerless bathing dress shortsleeved.
